MRT Values - MRT LEADS!
MRT Coaches, Athletes and Families are leaders! Leadership means prioritizing and living by our values.
M- Mindset for growth
We encourage athletes to try the most difficult things and not to fear failure. Failure is essential to growth, the willingness to master the most difficult things and to remember that growth takes effort.
R- Responsible
We encourage athletes to be responsible for themselves, their actions and for controlling their own destiny in the sport of skiing.
T- Team/Community Approach
We promote an inclusive, supportive team approach as a vital element to our athletes’ reaching their full potential. Team sports create some of life’s best relationships. This is most true when members can confidently express their individuality and pursue their athletic goals without judgment.
L- Life-Long Love of Sport
We instill a life-long passion for skiing through healthy competition and all mountain experiences, the outdoors and a healthy lifestyle. Our athletes are responsible for the choices they make in life and on the mountain. They understand and acknowledge their mistakes and they earn their successes.
E- Effort
The effort we put into learning and mastery is more important than the natural talent we bring as individuals. We value effort regardless of given ability and realize that some athletes will grow and learn, but may not reach the results of others. We value their effort as a team. We are process goal oriented rather than outcome goal focused.
A- Attitude
Every day is a great day! We are resilient to difficult situations and work hard to improve everyday we are on the hill. We are privileged to be part of an incredible community.
D- Domain Mastery
Success comes from mastery of many items in skiing and life including Technical/Tactical, Physical Fitness, Equipment, Mental Skills and Training and Competition planning and monitoring.
S- Sportsmanship
Respect for self, others and the sport. We develop our athletes abilities to discover and grow self-respect and respect for others by instilling independence, tenacity, perseverance, humility and resiliency through an appreciation for hard work.
