Summer 2026 Recap
Summer 2026 Recap

We had an amazing 15 days at Timberline across 3 - 5 day camps. 2 of those were overnight camps, and athletes got to have the full Mt.Hood/Government Camp experience! Off snow activities included, rafting, mountain biking, climbing, and swimming. Athletes also participated in video review every evening to give them feedback and get the most out of our summer training.
The snow held up better than expected on upper Palmer, and we were able to get quality training in despite the heat. The athletes were incredibly efficient in getting up the lift and they were able to get 3-6 runs in before we even got in gates! Everyone worked hard and showed great improvement. It was a very positive and supportive environment that the athletes and coaches created, and we are excited to carry that into this next season.

We also hosted a Big Mountain camp. Athletes ran gates in the morning, then worked on air awareness and freeride skills in the afternoon. This is a very unique hybrid camp that no other teams/camps offer at Timberline. This means we can help create even more well-rounded athletes, and continue to offer diverse opportunities for our athletes. Next year we are excited to do a full on Big Mountain Camp combined with some gate training for our team.
Our next camp for summer 2026 is in Portillo. The resort has been closed for 2 weeks as they received 450+ centimeters of snow. They had to dig out the entire resort, cats, lifts, lodges, etc. It's been the storm of a century. Excitement is an understatement!
