Alan grew up skiing and racing in Minnesota on the frozen hills where a vertical drop of 500 rock hard feet provided all the thrills a kid could hope for. He previously coached 5 years for the MAC and has worked at Mt. Hood Meadows for the past ten years as a PSIA certified ski instructor with a child specialist certification. Alan is excited to be back coaching as he encourages his son to learn how to race and huck cliffs. You will often find him, his wife Noel, and their son Davis enjoying the many outdoor opportunities around Mt Hood.
