Michael grew up in Alaska where skiing was not only a way a life but often a necessity needed to get to school and hunt big game during the arctic winters.  Having to survive on skis from a young age of 5 for extended weeks helps him have eternal optimism and an incredible outlook on what is possible in life.  Michael has two kids. The older one is passionate about skiing and loved by his team mates for absolutely hucking himself off anything and for skiing until his parents drag him from the slope.  His younger child is quiet and calculated and a slayer on both ice and steeps.  His wife Alison is the glue on his skins of life in the Farrell family.  If you can see the hills they have conquered you'll understand that she is as strong as Gorilla glue.  Michael loves cold freshies both on the slopes and at the finish line! Michael has been on the MRT board since 2014 and has never suffered from cold feet during the endeavor!
